Scrapbooks, personal papers, photographs, news clippings, and memorabilia belonging to Roena Gates Clement. Includes material on her teacher training in Indianola, Des Moines, and Ames; teachers's certificates and papers; papers from her husband Harley Jay Clement; items from her brother Kermit Hoyt Gates, a doctor in the U.S. Army during World War II; scrapbook on Richard Glen Prather, Roena's nephew, killed in an air accident in the 1940s; and writings by Roena Clement--"A Chautauqua Lady", and "My teaching in Warren County." Also contains records of the New Era Sunday School Class, Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Des Moines, Iowa, 1919-1977.
